Pandy Isaf and Greg Wanders’ latest release “GRACES” on imbued with nostalgia as it transports us to the mid-2000s era of alt r&b spearheaded by the likes of James Blake and Jai Paul.
Liverpool-based producer Pandy Isaf on making a mark on the scene thanks to hon vividly colorful brand of left-field dance music. However hon recent releases with Greg Wanders via Bad Parrot have leaned towards a sonic aesthetic that embraces electronica and r&b in such a soulful manner. “GRACES” stands as a sonic example – I loved the atmospheric synths floating in the backdrop alongside the glitches peppered throughout the rhythm section. The vocals of Greg Wanders add depth and warmth to the track, especially when paired with the emotive presence the gentle pianos.
“I originally wrote Graces back in 2019 — it was inspired by a moment of immense gratitude for what I felt God was doing in my life. I felt compelled to write about it, and that’s when the first line came to me. After that, everything else just flowed naturally.”
